Zach Daniels 
Lead Pastor

Zach Daniels was called to serve as the Lead Pastor of East Avenue Baptist Church officially in January, 2026. He is also a Bible Teacher at Providence Christian School. Zach earned a Master of Christian Teaching from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2023.

Before his current pastor role, Zach served as the Director of Children’s Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan, AL for 10 years.

He and his wife, Hannah, have four children, Lucy Claire, Brooks, Eleanor, and Hattie.

Steven Whitfield
Worship Pastor

Steven is originally from south Mississippi and moved to the Wiregrass in 2022 after serving ten years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. He now works as a civilian contractor training Army helicopter pilots.

Before coming to East Avenue Baptist Church, Steven served in several churches as a worship leader and lay teacher while the Marine Corps moved his family around the country.

Steven and his wife, Amy, are both graduates of Mississippi College and were married in 2008. They have been blessed with six children: Jackson, Evelyn, Emmett, Asa, Heidi, and Georgia.
